The new Trax 4 has a state of the art 3D bottom shape with a single concave, steps and a lateral V. This 3D shape within a full wood core board is an exclusive F-One technology. The new lateral V gives a free feeling while keeping the board on track and under control to go fast or throw high jumps. The lighter weight and a new flex distribution offer better pop and effortless control at all times. The new Trax 4 is equipped with the 3D molded Platinum Pads & Straps for the best comfort and the new Strap Lock 2 for easy mount and setup.

Alaska KITE FEST May 29-31

We are stoked to help and support the 2009 Alaska Kite Festival... so if you are a rider (you are, don't ask), didn't know there is a kiting scene in Alaska and always wanted to visit the 49th state, this is for you. We will send some gear for demo and plenty of swags.

Once again the annual KiteFest Alaska is upon us. This year our unofficial motto will be, ‘Bigger, better and actually organized’. Seriously though, this years event will build on the enormous success of last year with classes, clinics, food, demo gear, competitions, partying, and loads of kitesurfing! We are even hosting an hour long Friday night film fest in a local theater to get our stoke on for the weekend. This years event will feature lots of classes for those just starting out as well as intermediate and advanced classes for those already ripping. Be sure to register by sending us an email so we know to expect you!

From Outside Alaska
The quickest way to get to Alaska is to fly, once in Alaska use the many commuter flight services. The most pleasant is a long leisurely drive up the Alaskan/Canadian Hwy. It’s 2,500 miles and takes 50 hours if you only stop for gas. A better time frame is about 2 weeks. Another way to reach Homer is via the ferry, which takes about 3-4 days. It leaves from Bellingham Washington all summer.

From Within Alaska
From Anchorage follow the Seward Hwy (AK-1) South about 90 miles. At the junction to Seward, stay right then travel another 130 or so miles. Once in Homer, stay on the Hwy. (Bypass) and follow it out to the Homer Spit. Mariner Park is at the base of the Spit on the right.

Where to Stay
Participants can camp at Mariner Park (fee) or find a local B&B or hotel. Ocean Shores Motel has offered KiteFest participants a 15% discount. (thanks Tom!) Also check out Bird Bay Hideaway in town. This is a full private house for a great deal.
